Welcome to Ubersite!

Uberboard

Uberboard is a revolutionary new concept in digital media and hyper information distribution.

YOUR MESSAGE (max 100 characters):

How does it work?

For a very small price (as low as one US dollar), you can purchase a spot in the thin blue-gray box at the top of the page that will be known from this day forward as Uberboard. You figure out what you want to say (limited to 100 characters), type it in the box above, click the "Go!" button, and Paypal your money into the Ubersite coffers.

What am I buying?

Each dollar will get you some part of one day's worth of exposure on Uberboard. The exact number of times your message is displayed will depend on the number of visitors to the site on that day as well as on the number of other people who have purchased spots on Uberboard.

Let's say that the message you decide to write is: "I love Ubersite!" and that you choose to pay one dollar. If you are the only person who has paid for Uberboard space on that day, your message will be shown all day long on every single page of Ubersite. Now let's say that one other person has paid one dollar to run the message: "I hate Ubersite!". Your message will appear on 50% of the pages and that other message will be displayed on the other 50% of the pages. Which message gets displayed on which pages is completely random.

When will the message run?

Your message will run for exactly 24 hours starting the instant we receive notification of your completed PayPal transaction.

What can I write?

You can write anything you like that is not otherwise illegal in the US. However, when it comes down to it, the nice folks at Ubersite reserve the right to remove any message from the rotation at any point without notice. If a message is removed for any reason, a credit will be granted for any unfulfilled period of time.

Is this the beginning of the end? A slippery slope? Will I have to pay to access Ubersite from now on?

No.

Ubersite itself is an experiment in media that all in all seems to be going pretty well. Uberboard is an experiment in capitalism to see if the same philosophy that governs Ubersite can yield cold hard digital cash. If it can't, Uberboard will be shutdown, considered a failure, and Ubersite will begin an experiment selling T-shirts and coffee cups.

If Uberboard is even mildly successful, the proceeds will help fund new hardware, bandwidth, and eventually the Ubersite mansion.

Other Questions?

If you have any other questions, just watch the board for a while and you should be able to get the hang of it. If you still can't figure it out, fill out the contact form and ask questions until your pretty little heart is content.

Thank you for playing.

Sincerely,

The nice folks at Ubersite
