Please be aware that there is some disturbing footage in the video.
Watched it? Good. I think that fuck deserved what he got. Why people are shocked about this is beyond me. He shot a cop in the face. The police beat the ever loving shit out of him, and he asked for it. If this fuck gets any money from the state or government or where ever, which he most likely will, it just goes to show how fucked up this country is. Or isn't, considering that he will only win a judgement because the law is so strict on these things, regardless of any other offenses, and if we play by the rules, this asshole killer will be filthy rich, even if he is in jail for the rest of his life.
What do you think? Should he have gotten his shit pushed in for what he did? Does he deserve money? Should he be shot in the face himself?

He should get the time he deserves based on what he did and all other reactions should have been left out.

Did he actually get beaten, or did he sustain the majority of his injuries jumping out the window?
Did he actually get restrained and systematically beaten, or did he put up a fight when he was caught again?
Did that cop he shot 'point blank in the face' die? Seems like he must've, but you think they'd have said.
Too much bullshit around this - it never actually says if he was beaten, just implies it. Also, the FBI clearing a cop means fuck all, not that I'm saying they should or shouldn't have, just that law enforcement circle-jerking and back-scratching itself means jack shit.

The police officers had no right to do to him what they did.
Let me state unequivocally before I proceed:
I DO NOT CONDONE HIS SHOOTING OF THE POLICE OFFICER. Or any shooting, actually.
BUT
police officers HAVE TO FOLLOW THE LAW otherwise they are just criminals with uniforms.
It can be an incredibly frightening thing, the amount of power a police officer is capable of exerting, and if he or she allows their feelings to control their actions, they are incapable of impartiality.
And impartiality is an absolute must among those who are supposed to be the moral and legal pillars of our society.

There was no wrongdoing as far as I can see. He jumped out of a high window and tried to run and resisted arrest - plus an investigation cleared them. Nothing more can be expected.
And re argument below, if I shot a cop my mother would be jumping up and down flailing. She'd kill me first, or testify against me.

Caul is right. anyone who says they would disown their kid, or beat them themselves if they did something like that is speaking from a hypothetical fantasy land standpoint. you don't know what you would do if your kid turned out like this, but you would still love them and have empathy for their suffering. it's the nature of being a parent. that isn't to say you wouldn't be disgusted and ashamed with their actions. the two do NOT have to be mutually exclusive.
if you say you wouldn't feel empathy, you either are not a parent, or you are very good at lying to yourself.

For all the times I agree that police have overstepped their rights and bounds, this isn't one.
I have to assume there's a chance that the same cops who beat him are friends of the detective he SHOT IN THE FACE in front of a room full of witnesses, right?
A mask to protect the people around him from harm when he SHOT SOMEONE IN THE FACE? It's hard to make a judgement without seeing the tape of the beating, but in this case I'd give the cops the benefit of the doubt.
