"Exterminate the white man"
i am absolutely infuriated after watching Kamau Kambon's speech on Cspan. someone linked to it here today and it was the first time i saw it.

should i be angry? afterall, Kambon is not a very articulate speaker and doesn't sound like he knows much about what he's talking about. furthermore, i think he is a bit insane. i base this on the deeply paranoid delusions in his speech, such as whites having "retina scanners" and "dna banks" to keep tabs on the blacks. absolutely ridiculous...
he starts out his speech by talking about how he saw many of his friends die around him while growing up due to violence and drugs. he alludes that this is the white man keeping his people down. forcing them into ghettos where they must fight to survive by shooting each other and selling drugs.
Mr. Kambon, has it not ever occurred to you that the reason many blacks live in squalor is because of their own inability to pull themselves up out of their own mess with resolute determination to succeed? where are the black role models? few and far between. i hope to god you don't consider yourself one, with your calls to commit genocide while at the same time condemning the actions of Adolf Hitler.... i grew up in East St. Louis. perhaps you've heard of it. you know- mostly black, highest crime rate last year in the country. the black kids i grew up with tried to sell me drugs, stole from me, beat me up for just walking down the street, vandalized property... i went to the same school as they did. they had the same opportunities i did and yet, what did they do with it? they spit right in opportunity's face. while i was working my ass off to pay for college myself, they were squandering their fast food pay on rap music, chrome rims, jewelry, and clothes.
where are the role models? Bill Cosby tried to speak out and was ridiculed by blacks. Bill Cosby was sick of seeing people like 50 Cent as the biggest role model in a young black person's life. sick of seeing blacks murder each other over basketball shoes and drugs. sick of them ignoring education opportunities because it required hard work and sacrifice.
Dr. Martin Luther King must be rolling in his grave. no doubt you highly respect him and his message without a clear understanding of what it actually was. you see, he preached the exact opposite of your message. integration to bridge the racial divide. how can you have a real "separate but equal" culture? i have no doubt that blacks are intimidated by everyday life with the white man. they are taught by bigots like you that because of the color of their skin, they are rejected by the world while at the same time conveying a great sense of pride in it. it is the same tactic muslim extremists use. it is the same tactic Adolf Hitler used. i've got your number, Mr. Kambon. i'm right inside that head of yours. you can't fool me.
Mr. Kambon goes on to say that blacks are in an international prison; that the white man has extended the boundaries of the traditional plantation and made it a virtual "international plantation" which made "every white person on earth a plantation master". yes, Mr. Kambon, i am a plantation master. no comment on my part is even necessary. it is unabashedly and utterly ridiculous.
he then tells his audience that "white people want to kill you." he tells them "i want you to understand that they want to kill you." yes, Mr. Kambon, i want to kill black people. why not? your skin is different than mine and i have nothing better to do with my time. that's rational, right? another ridiculous statement that needs no rebuttal due to it's obvious ignorance... but he goes on to say "there are a number of reason why they want to do that- i'm not going to waste my time trying to figure out why they want to kill us."
well, that's reasonable and logical. "hey everybody, the white man wants to kill you. i don't know why, they just do and you should believe what i say despite the fact that it is based on no facts or evidence whatsoever that i can present to you." and this guy was a professor??? i weep for the future education of my generation's children.
here's the full transcript of this paragraph in his speech-
"Everywhere we go our people are dying. White people want to kill us, I want you to understand that. They want to kill you... They want to kill you because that is part of their plan... I'm not going to waste my time trying to figure out why they want to kill us... and they want to do it in many different ways--psychological, economic, cultural, spiritual, social, biological, chemical, electromagnetic--they want to kill you. But they also want to make money in the process of your death."
electromagnetic??? now it's just getting nuts....
but wait! it gets even better! he then says "i saw a brother coming in, he was smoking a cigarette. so now he is going to kill himself and they are going to make money off of his death process."
yes, yes. that is why only black people smoke cigarettes. us white folks know better and we know we'll make money off of you blacks dying from it! it's the perfect plan! why is it that this man takes absolutely no responsibility for his people's actions??? how did we get to this sad state, where blacks accuse whites for all their problems just because they were enslaved so many years ago? sorry to say it, but my ancestors were also enslaved, but you don't see me blaming anyone for any misfortune i happen to have. most people understand that history is important for us so that we may learn from it and move forward. people like Mr. Kambon use it to stir the pot and further their own agenda.
next he tries to guilt blacks into going along with his insane propaganda by using the "if you're not with me, you're against me" tactic. he claims that blacks are supporting the white death process through their careless consumerism. he claims that blacks that participate in white society in any way are supporting their own demise when instead they should be supporting "African liberation".
African liberation? what the hell is that? you mean like how US troops (some white, some black, some latin, some asian, etc, etc) have fought and died in Africa so that black Christians could worship without fear of being exterminated by Muslims? you mean how billions of dollars in aid goes to starving, AIDS-ridden African countries, much of it from whites? if you are so concerned about Africa, why don't you go back there? i'll tell you why. you have it too damn good in the US. you speak of Africa's glory, but you know what it's really like there in the third world. wars, people killing their own people for profit, starvation, disease, etc, etc. despite your claims of providing for yourself without the white man's help, you still have it much better living in your North Carolina home. if you think the white man is your worst enemy in the US, try going to Africa.
in conclusion, Mr. Kambon encourages blacks to come up with a plan to "exterminate the white man".

sorry, i couldn't resist a Star Wars quote there....
genocide will not solve any of Mr. Kambon's problems. this is apparent throughout history and will always be true. we all have to find a way to live together on this planet and wars and genocide will not be the answer. i suggest following the teachings of a man i respect deeply- Dr. Martin Luther King, the greatest leader of the civil rights movement. or have you forgotten about him, Mr. Kambon? he is one of the people that fought and died so that you may have the freedom to say what you said, despite your belief that it is not real freedom.

It must be nice to just point to one person, one color, one race and blame them for all problems the world faces. It is easier to do that than accept responsibility for your own actions, admit that you too are human and make mistakes. The rest of that speech is nuts. What I find appauling is the fact that they let this hate monger fucking broadcast his death message on live tv for anyone to listen to. You think they let the KKK broadcast their "I hate nigger" speeches on CSPAN or even CSPAN-2? I think not. The amount of shit that the government lets these people get away with just because of a skin color makes me sick. I actually used to defend black people in my younger days till I moved to Pittsburgh. Then I actually dealt with them. Fuck that. Ever try to be in a managerial position around angry black people...don't. Its not worth any money they pay you. It doesn't matter if Don Imus is a redneck, it's about setting the boundaries of comedy and crippling free speech, (he IS a comedian, and has based his entire radio career around comedy) and allowing useless shitheels like Al Sharpton to take advantage of situations and abuse the system. The guy said something stupid, he apologized (PROFUSELY, to the point of embarassment) yet it's not good enough.
This is a FAR cry from Kramer screaming nigger. THAT was fucked up. This is a radio show where EVERYONE is made fun of. The man now has DEATH THREATS on his life because of a throw away joke said in passing. Do you think that if someone threatened Kamau Kambon's life, there wouldn't be a fucking uproar?
Whatever, it's all bullshit, and I'm staying out of it. These people are fucking clowns. I don't think I'd be as pissed about it if Sharpton, who's sole purpose in life is exploitation of others, wasn't involved and calling for people to get fired (Does he even HAVE a fucking real job?). I think this entire thing is a horrible blow to the First Amendment and the right free speech in this country.
It doesn't bother me what Kamau Kambon is saying, and whether he hates white people. He has the right to, just like anyone else should have the same right.

I don't own slaves, never have. I tell contractors and employees that they've done a good job when they have done so. I tip. I don't support the dealers or pimps, but I do work a soup kitchen now and then. I'll occasionally buy a homeless guy a McBurger and, if I have the time, sit at his table while we eat. I'm not keeping anybody down economically or politically. But I'm white, so according to this guy, I'm the problem.
Here in America he's entitled to speak his mind regardless of how little there might be in it. Talk is fine. If he talks of genocide against whites, he must not be surprised if the first white he attacks is prepared for him. And if he is incapacitated or even killed in the course of that attack, those who listen to him must realize that he was dealt with in the same way that any other criminal in the act of his crime should be: resisted with sufficient effort so as to remove the threat of harm.

I know that racism and prejudice is a very real thing that people have to deal with every day. Even though I'm white, I see irrational biases being voiced all the time by co-workers, etc., many of whom consider themselves left-wing and liberal. (A big one where I work in West Hollywood is the gays and the Russian immigrants bashing each other. Lateral oppression is still oppression.)
Given that, I have a problem with the acceptance of the victim role that this man seems to be encouraging. You may not be able to control the bigots of the world, but you are only a victim if you allow yourself to be one. Rise above, brother, rise above.
