I can tell you from first hand experience, that Heroin is not as lethal as it states, and I pay about 7 bucks per bag, which gets me high for at least 6 hours, 2 bags to last me the day, so its price should be placed lower than pot, which would cost me about 20 bucks to keep me high for the day.

*****************
$20 in pot keeps me high for a week and I smoke daily.

This is also in American dollars.

Eh, its not too bad, kind of informative.

This information (while maybe new to sheltered people in the UK)

===========

Hey, wow! You're an ignorant cumsucker aren't you?

---------------------

Took the words right out of my mouth (although I would have added cocksmith in there somewhere)

We already knew this, just rather than going off on one about it first we wait until qualified specialists release info like this and confirm what we're thinking.

* Politics and Logical thought - funny - like chalk and cheese.

As I say it's all about the taxability - the majority of laws in the UK are no longer to protect thepublic, they are old, no longer relevant rules - the real offence is breaking the rules not causing the community problems. - It's the wrong way to punish people.

This is hardly a groundbreaking new discovery. This information (while maybe new to sheltered people in the UK) has always been known through common sense, and shown repeatedly in scientific studies throughout the 1900s. The bottom line is logical thought and politics do not mix.

Love smoking through apples! mmmmmmmm, keen apple smoke!

We never stuck the bong pipe in it though, what a good idea! We just carved a tub at a right angle through it and stuck a copper gause (*sp) on the hole.

Good old days, bucket bongs and apple pipes.

Does everyone stop doing that fun stuff at some point and just start smoking joints?

Post it when you're done! I once hooked up with some yank sailors (that sounds a bit dodgy), who insisted on smoking through a potatoe (i.e. pull the stem out of the bong, stick it in a spud, and carve a whole to inhale through.

Surprisingly, this tasted not at all bad...

=============

Also nice through an apple. Pears are too soft sadly. Melons are not bad either, though a little messy. It's amazing what a creative stoner with a Leatherman can achieve.

A wheelie bin bucket bong? I've got to see that.

==========

Sadly by the time I remembered I had a camera I was too stoned to do much apart from hold it the wrong way and giggle stupidly. There will be another time, probably this weekend. I will photograph the happy event. I made a bong out of a Pringles can once.

Look at all those deaths by alcohol, can anyone tell me why a country needs alcohol?

Why is tobacco safer than alcohol? I would think it is more addictive and deaths/user is slightly higher for smoking.

---------------------

It's only your first ciggarette that ever gets you anything like "high" it just makes you a bit dizzy and you love it so much that you smoke for the rest of your (short) life even though it no longer makes you dizzy!

I would personally put it above alcohol, but then again being addicted to tobacco isn't nearly as damaging (socially) as being an alcoholic.

Fuck it, I'll go with the experts.

Cannabis -
NO. OF UK USERS: 3m
NO. OF UK DEATHS IN 2004: 16

I would like to see more information on how they tied cannabis use directly to cause of death. A weed smoker of 6 years (and one who's not considering quitting any time soon), I have never heard of a case where pot killed anyone.

--------

That's something I'd also like to see Snag. Having smoked pot every single day for the last 6 / 7 years (struggle to remember just how long - lol) I've never died!

Those statistics don't account for the percentage of users of each drug that die by using that drug. Therefore, it makes things like huffing paint seem less lethal than it should. The reason alcohol is so high on the list is simply because so many people use it. Interesting post, though.

DO NOT SNORT KETAMINE.

---------------------------

But it's all about snorting so much you get yourself in a "K-hole"!

--------------------------

oh hell yes.

My drug days are well and truly over now though, but I remember this well. Being sucked up into the corner of a ceiling and having an outer body experience, where I could not move, but all my mental functions and sensory perceptions remained intact. I honestly thought I had died for 20 minutes.

None of these findings come as a surprise to me.

I had a whole lot of fun with acid when I was younger. I used GHB as an 'enhancer' to whatever else I happened to be taking at the time, whether it was coke, pills, speed whatever.

But I just got bored of it all. I didn't touch any drugs for 2 years, until last summer, when someone gave me a huge 5-litre bucket bong at a pool party.

Where I hadn't smoked weed for so long, it fucked my head up good and proper.

I enjoyed it all at the time, and I don't begrudge anyone to do the same. But I'll stick with alcohol from now on.

Have fun!!

Tell me about it! Ever since this info was released I've been preaching that to everyone I come across!

Being a stoner who rarely drinks I can now justify it being as though my drug of choice is much better for me than the rest of the binge drinking British populations.

Sickens me how people have been conditioned to look down on "illegal" drug users but heavy drinkers lose no respect for their drug of choice. - It's all down to "taxability" fucking Capitalist lies i tell you, capitalist lies!

Fucked up, backwards country this one.

Agreed. And that Streets song, 'The Irony of It All' illustrates the point perfectly. Mike Skinner is a twat now though, shame really.

Thought it looked familiar. I was overjoyed with pot being lower than both cigarrettes and alcomahol!

Is this the same one that was in The Guardian recently?

-------------

Yeah this is the one, I know it was a while back now but I'd not seen any mention of it on uber.
