I see where both of you are coming from. Granted, what first addicted me to this site was reading things that almost got me fired because I could not hold in my laughter while I was at work. However, I am slowly coming around to just enjoying a good story for what it is.
Regardless, I have only been reading posts from this site for about 6 months, so I am still trying to understand the territory. However, iddqd, I think you have a real talent for telling an excellent, entertaining, and hilarious story and making it seem real. If you are looking for a genre of writing to focus on, I think that should be your main focus.
Just my opinion, take it for what you will.
