Hypothetically, say you were planning a trip. This isn't one of those trip of a lifetime trips. It's more of a 'you have an extra week of vacation to kill so you should go camping somewhere' trips.

You spend some time debating the mountainous woodlands vs. warm sunny beach.
You settle on beach even though the last time you went camping at the beach an epic thunderstorm came though. If you've never been hunkered down in a tent, on a small island, way out on a big blue ocean, during a thunderstorm you will if nothing else learn that they are not kidding when they recommend massive tent stakes the likes of which you'd expect to see in the hands of an angry mob in a spaghetti western.

what?

That doesn't make any sense.

Like the Giants picking up David Carr.

The point is all you are really planning on doing for one solid week is a bit of kayaking, surfing, maybe some snorkeling.

If you so choose you can spend the entire week with very little human interaction.

The question is, if you had the chance to take along some dangerous mind altering drugs would you:

a. try grilling some fish with a little lemon at the campsite

b. take along some more normal, camping staple type of food

c. plan on just going out to dinner even though you know you won't really want to be around people

I'd watch a few more episodes of OLN's "Survivorman" and live off the forest.

Or have fish.

I was thinking of making tea out of 'those' mushrooms and using baby bellas in the grill.

Bob is clever, he goes to one of them fancy schools up north.

Sand may be a trigger though.

It occurred to me that the strangest, most Hunter S moment I ever had was when I once spent and entire week exploring the Arizona - Utah desert then drove into Vegas to meet Sam. It's a long story but I after a week of among other things Anasazi ruins, a big meteor crater, an archeological dig on a Navajo reservation all while alone and in an altered mental state I damn near had a psychotic melt-down trying to navigate Vegas and worse, McCarran airport.

Bubba- Fine input, but I know my drugs. And the thought of Associating LSD and fish turns my stomach.

It is possible to live in the forest for six months on spaghetti-o's, ramen, tuna fish, beer, and whiskey. And vitamins. And coffee. And pizza and a shower once a week.

=============================
Beer, whiskey, and coffee are the only required staples.

Saccy: Pot goes with burgers, Acid with fish, shrooms with veggies.

And cigarettes.

And corn nuts.

See without even knowing exactly which psychoactive you're referring to, I'd say that I wouldn't be confident they'd go well with fish. Seafood, yum. Drugs, yum. Seafood + drugs? Iffy. And you KNOW you might really, really, really not want to deal with people when you're on, especially when you've specifically left civilization for a vacation. Staples and comfort food all the way.
