I haven't written anything of substance in a while now, but I'm planning on getting back to it any day now. I have a couple of stories floating around in my head that could make for interesting reading, however I need some help choosing what direction to head.
On one hand, I could write about a revolutionary philosophical and scientific theory I've been pondering for the last year that could stand to unify the worlds of quantum physics, evolution, and global politics. While it would take a decent amount of writing to provide enough supporting evidence, the theory is amazing in its simplicity and would be taught to future generations for the duration of mankind's existence.
On the other hand, I could write a more entertaining and humorous story involving pop culture references and childish insults. This would not change the world in any way, but it would be easier to read and might generate a couple of laughs in the process.
See, this struggle has occurred in television executives' offices around the country and we know how that's turned out. They end up talking about Barack Obama's flag pin and Hillary Clinton's Mother's Day plans while making no mention of how anyone plans to stop the freefall decline of the US dollar. Want to talk about why Congress continues to fund torture practices at Guantanamo Bay? Sorry, no time for that now... Hulk Hogan's son is in court for reckless driving.
What I'd like to do for my decision here is to emulate the democratic nature of the American political system. Everyone leave a comment on what you think I should do, I may or may not read your comments, and then I will do whatever I want while simultaneously claiming that I have public support.

I'd go with mindless drivel.
I already came up with the Unifying Theory of Unifying Everything, but the goddamn scientific community told me that scientific experiments conducted with play-doh don't count.
Apparently, also my argument that the velocity of my fart upon the play-doh does NOT in fact constitute a replication of inter-galactic solar storms while not under the effects of gravity within the 100- light year distance of a black hole that is only 3 years away from becoming super-dense and swallowing all of existance.
The point being, people don't care about science, and the community, as well as the wider public are all cretins who will only try to poke holes in your research while maintaining that it is in fact "they" that have the true answer.
But that's just one man's opinion.
I do have a question though, don't you find it odd that they were more concerned with the flaws in my theory than with the fact that there's a black-hole in our universe about to consume us for it's celestial dinner?

You may as well go for option B. I doubt many of the remaining uberers have the brain cells or attention span to spell "quantum physics", let alone comprehend its connection to evolution or global politics. While any of the "SHOW ME YER BOOBEES" or "YER GHEY"'s would be genuine, the bulk of the +2's would be the result of some sort of misguided celebrity worship (i.e. "OMG HE RUNS THE WEBSITE WE USE WHILE WE'RE AT WORK!!! HE'S LIKE THE SIMON COWELL OF OUR SIMPLE AND STUPID LIVES!!" etc.)
If you include boobies or the word "fart" in option B, I'm sure you'll get some belly laughs from the native rednecks and down-syndromites.
