A brief story about the '2 Weeks' shirt I'm wearing:
I picked up that red top in New York when I went with my family last Christmas. It came with a little tag that read: "Half of the profit made from the sale of this shirt will be contributed providing 2 weeks worth of antiretroviral medicine in Africa", or something similarly philanthropic.
'Splendid' I thought, 'What more could a man want from a garment?'.
It was only when I was at the till that I noticed a slight issue; it was half price. I know this doesn't usually cause alarm but with altruistic apparel in ones hands things are an entirely different matter
Did this mean Gap (yes I was at Gap) were selling the shirt for a loss? Or was my AIDS sufferer going to meet his/her maker 14 days too soon? Or would there be a compromise; sell the shirt for a slight loss and keep the poor guy alive for a week? I would never know.
The cashier interrupted my musings with a slight cough. I paid up and left.

I've been telling that crap story to anyone who asked about the shirt and many that didn't. I pulled none of the fuzzy-faced girls in the picture owing to a combination of me having drunk too much, the girls not being drunk enough and the presence of my then girlfriend who was taking the picture.

And for the record, though I'm not entirely sure that you're not being sarcastic, that's a false colour shot! My camera was trying to pick out yellow-orange hues, which is why my bright red shirt is grey and my skin, just, weird
