Nine pounds in a month? Dude, with all that exercise you're doing, you could switch out regular meals with a whey protein shake (make sure to take vitamins, too) and lose that much weight in a week. Imagine the next week, and the week after, and so on.

In a week's time, after lifting weights, taking vitamins, drinking plenty of water along with that whey shit, I lost 20 pounds in thirteen days.

So eat THAT

Weight loss is relative, it isn't the total amount as much as it is the body fat percentage. Also cutting out meals with the ending goal to lose weight is ineffective because once you reach your target you stop cutting out the meals, or your body doesn't get the nutrients you need. What I'm saying is that losing 9 pounds in a month with a method that easily fits into your lifestyle and that is enjoyable to you is better than losing 20 pounds in a week, starving your body of necessary calories with (probably) a higher percent of muscle loss.

The man talks sense.

Bottom line- the more you weigh, the more weight you're probably going to initially lose quickly. A 200+ lb person losing 20+ lbs in a month is one thing..someone who starts out much lighter can't do that realistically and stay healthy. Calling out numbers doesn't mean a thing if you don't weigh the same as another person to begin with, and if you're doing a severe routine you can't stick to, you'll be right back where you started. Skipping meals lowers your metabolism and robs you of the nutrition you need (including the things you need to LOSE weight) is the last thing anyone should do, particularly to lose weight and get in shape. Ideally, you should be eating smaller meals MORE often.

Also, to say "Imagine the next week, and the week after, and so on" is misleading, because you probably won't lose the same amount week after week- I know people who have lost over a hundred pounds, and the lighter you are, the slower the weight loss tends to be. 'Week one' is when a lot of people lose the most weight due to water retention, and they may never see that significant a loss again in one week.

I don't think I've ever lost more than 20 lbs at any point in my life, and I've seen the same pattern myself. But the point Doodles makes about choosing enjoyable, realistic methods, no matter what your goals are, is key.

How about getting a vacuum cleaner and a carpet steamer into that house.
Pick up all that shit and fill a dumpster.
that'd be good for another ten or twelve huh?

JESTER: Just do what all the kids are doing these days and use a bunch of crystal meth. Say what you will but you can't argue with results right? Have YOU ever seen a fat crackhead? Because I sure haven't.

I wish I had that much time for games... But I HAVE found a way to not clutter my house with my treadmill, AND get to use it too!! in about 2 months, it'll be at my sister's place, so I'll get to use it there.

WOOO!

It's brilliant. Now if I could just get one of those ab-bobbers that's stable enough for me to play the PC games...

Well done for getting off your fat ass and doing something about it, but him below might have a point about all the gaming. Maybe try some outdoor exercise (not involving an extension cord)...

I did it the old fashioned way. By not getting fat to begin with.

But coincidentally, I also lost the 10 lbs that I had gained from a med routine in the same period by working out a bit more often.

only 10 pounds? I could gain that much in a week and lose it all the next.

I'm not going to give an excuse. I'm not too busy (no-lifer), I'm not too scared or shit. I'm just too lazy. If I wanted to work out, I could, but I don't. Fuck you for making me look bad.
