I was fucked by the long dick of the law.
The other night I went out to the bar, and had a few drinks. After the bar, I had a designated driver take me to my destination. I was riding shotgun.
Long story short, I was arrested for drunk in public.
In a privately owned vehicle, and not in public untill the officer ordered me out of the car.
Aint that some bullshit?
I'll update you guys when I go to court if anybody cares.

I suppose they can't use anything I said as evidence against me IE: when I told them I had been drinking earlier that night.
It just pisses me off, I mean instead of fucking people out of their money couldn't they be out solving this particular cities murder problem? Or drug problem?
There are a million different serious crimes that happened here evrey day, and they waste their efforts, and my tax dollars on pulling people out of the passenger seat for drunk in public? The syestem is fucked, to bad we can't do anything about it.

It is an offence in the Uk too. Most of the people arrested on a Friday or Saturday night will be arrested for this offence, its quick easy and it works. Custody Sergeants hate it though as they have to keep a close eye on drunks in case they die.
You will probably just get a caution and will be kicked out when you are sober enough. No interview or anything. The Police are allowed to be expert witnesses on 'Drunkeness' they just have to write the right stuff in their statements.
