Wow. Dudes. What a fucking week.
On Friday Mel started to have what looked very much like a relapse, meaning the chemo hadn't worked.
Her left eye blindness was coming back she thought, called Hopkins and they sent her to a neuroopthamlogist.
They confirmed the symptom was back.
Which meant the MS was back.
I was on a course in Austin, Mel was flipping out and Hopkins wanted her to go for an MRI.
The MRI was Weds.
The wait was crucifying us, in the meantime her eye had come back to relatively normal and she was feeling better (MS is like that).
We got the MRI results this morning, this would tell us if in fact it was back.
Here are the results:
1. The previously seen lesions in the brainstem are less
conspicuously seen and may indicate treatment response. The
supratentorial T2 lesions are stable in size and number. No new T1,
T2 or enhancing lesions are seen.
2. The optic nerves and optic chiasm are unremarkable.
IT'S ONLY FUCKING WORKING!!!!!
Temporary setback as part of the nerve getting better apparently! Panic over, suicide pact cancelled.
