I'm writing this because I'm sick of people bagging on Jocks about the sports they played and who they are. Saying shit like " Got the last laugh hes baggin' grocerys" the funniest thing is that Jocks aren't dumb doosh bags they are the most likeable out going people out there.
Do you want to know something you nerdo fuckheads? The reason Jocks got some much respect and love from the teachers, parents, community, school is because they brought money into your shitty school. There playing sports got your shitty school money to buy computers, To get your geek labs and also to pay for alot of things for the school. As in other sports like girls softball, soccer, etc.. so Shut the fuck up..
Do you want to know why they get respect its because they went through hell since childhood to get to where they were at in highschool. You don't know what its like to play a sport and be hounded since you were 11 years old about you have to be the best. Parents living through you.. Dads beating the shit out of you.. Dads making you feel like shit because you aren't number 1. Crying your eyes out like little kids would at 10-12 years old. But getting told to "Man up" and take the pain.
I had a friend that was fat. He played O-line for us when we were in Pee Wee football. He was the nicest fattest little kid. And his dad Butch was the assistant coach of our pee wee team. His dad was grueling on us.. I mean hard core. and my friend Fat Andy would cry when ever he would do something wrong because he loved his dad and didn't want to let him down. So whenever he would mess up his face would turn red and he would cry..
because he made his dad look bad. His dad was a nice guy though a big burly funny fat guy. That loved and andy and would just grab andy whenever he would cry and wipe his tears off and give him a hug. Thats how much pressure was on us as kids we had to be number 1 and put up with bullshit we were so scared to fail for our familys and espically our dads or older brothers because.. you just dont want to disappoint anyone.
See Andys dad was the good parent.. now the bad parents.. I have a million storys like this..
My friend Tyler's dad used to play semi pro. And tyler was our quarterback as kids. His dad was a grade A asshole. He was one of those dads that would run out and throw a fight with the ref and talk shit. He was abusive I guess towards tyler in a way.. When ever tyler would mess up his dad would yell and berate him infront of the team if he cried " Smack" right across the face. No one said shit all the dads were like that You ddin't get into it with another dad and theire son thats how it was.
My friend James his dad was alcholic. During our little league games his dad would come to games drunk and yell shit and start fights. All james would do is cry on the mount. He was the pitcher and was so embrassed about his dad. It was sad.. There are about a million stories like this I'm just trying to give you guys a over view of what us Jocks went through as kids.
Constant fear and pain that we would let our father, or our coach or team down.. Always on the brink of tears as a child. Thank god my Dad was hella into books and didn't care about sports so I didnt have to deal with the bullshit.
Highschool hits and we have to live up to the expectations. Since we were kids the coachs have known about us and our team. who plays what the pressure is ten times tougher.
I have had practice where we practice in the mood and freezing rain for 3 hours, getting hit with pads and slipping. I have had to run 10 reminders at one time non stop because I was late. {A reminder is when you have to stop at each 5 yard line and do a push up while jogging. back and forth is 1 reminder} Basically hardcore shit.
We had to run the HIll every week. I had a broken wrist and they just said tape it up and go play. That's it people. You haven't been what any of us jocks have been through its hell. Its parents, fans, family, team, coach. Think varsity blues but that barely scratchs the surface.
My coach in highschool was a rascit hillbilly fuck, he just wanted to win didnt matter who got fucked up. Who got hurt he wanted to win. We decided as a team early on fuck him we'll just do it for ourselves went 10-0 my jr year. We worked our asses off for that. Practiceing over summer. Lifting weights all winter. Running sprints, taking shit from old men, our dads we went through that. Football is alot of politics people just as anyother sport.
We didn't see your nerd ass on the field. We didnt see you playing with a seperated shoulder so your team could win, we didnt see you with the weight of the world on your shoulders, you didnt get the gossip of where ever you go.
Yeah we got some easy teachers but then we always had asshole teachers who were like some of you and hated atheltics that made life a living hell for us. purposly failing some kids to prove a point that sports arent as important as school.{bullshit} just to please there own ego.
For all you assholes who say were dumb I laugh at you. We have a first class at life. We get into colleges for the ones that go. and get a 4 year degree paid for. Then its off to some cushy job some alumni made for us. Were setup from highschool to succeed and to be in circles where we get handed easier and higher paying jobs than the average schmuck.
Now i'm not talking about big dumb Scott who got all D's and barely graduated no. I'm talking about the pretty boy quarterback/ wide reciver all american boys named Tom, or John, Tyson, LaShawn etc.. that got all the chicks and the scholarship to a great university. We get life handed to us. the ones who you see bagging grocerys are the fuckups not the real jocks.
So whatever don't talk shit. The reason we get the shit we get is because we paid for it with sweat blood and dediacation since we were 7 years old. Going through asshole hillbilly coachs, over bearing fathers, pondering community, and a school that wants nothing less than the best.. We worked for it. So if we get the hot girl so what it was paid for, we did shit while alot of you got high{hey I got high too} but we did shit with our time and worked our asses off.
The hardest thing about us that you will never understand is this.. One time when we lost the championship during pee wee football. Fat andy was crying and ran over to his dad to get a hug,,, his dad turned away from him.. andy had to cry into his moms arms.. it happend all over that day from peoples dads.. we were crying tears and all they cared about was that we didn't win..
Thats the thing about atheletes as soon as you lose.. or fail... you can lose the love from your coach or your dad, school, etc.. were on a pedastal and when we lose its like they forget who we are.. and if we ever represented for them thats the hardest thing.. only another Jock would understand that.. its hard sometimes..

I don't understand this whole geek/ jock hatred thing. We didnt have it in my highschool that I knew of. I played football in the fall, wrestled in the winter, and played paseball in the spring.
I mean granted most of them didn't show up at parties and stuff, but it wasn't because they weren't welcome to come they just never asked.
I mean I used to get high and play halo with a few geeks evrey summer. I don't understand why evreyone is so pissy.
