Jimi Hendrix is an icon- there's no denying it. When it comes to playing guitar, Jimi Hendrix revolutionized the way people saw and played the instrument. From now until the end of time, anyone to ever pick up, or possibly even hear a guitar will know the name Jimi Hendrix. Factor is all the other people who just simply have ears and you know a whole Noah's Ark boatload of people know the man, the myth and the legend Jimi Hendrix. That, my friends, is immortality.
I could delve into all of the things that makes Hendrix arguably the greatest guitar player of all time but that would only cause reason for argument. What I think is fascinating is comparing African American cultire with the way it has impacted Jimi's life, and ultimately, our lives. For this man who is synonymous with the guitar had a tough path to tread, he ultimately made his dreams a reality.

Jimi was a rockstar. Africans gave America a nice twist, that Pat Boone shit might've gone on awhile. That said, it's important to note with acts like Jimi, The Beatles, Stones etc, most of their mystique is a result of the innovations in technology at the time. He was a sick guitar player, but he had friends at octavia that were making pedals to tweak his sound. And he translated his style through those tools.
Same for the Beatles, take George Martin and the freedom he gave them to experiment out of the picture and you have a band that may have slipped through the cracks... one cynics opinion

Nahh I actually was gonna post something I write days ago in its entirety then I remembered I'm at "ubersite" which coincidentally happens to be one of the worse "forums" I have ever visited in my life. So I took those words that I omitted from the above said article and I posted them on a real forum where people actually make sense, and my life has been great ever since!! Do you understand that? Even on the Internet your lame comments don't please people and prove yourself to hold nothing more than a 6th grade vocabulary, now do you see why I just said fuck it?
