This isn't related to FUPA in any way (although it is poetry).
I figured this would be a way for people to read my poetry.
Take it as you will:
I can't stand it here, it's such
a constant bore
To be left behind, abandoned in
this concrete cage
Everywhere I look I see the same
old sad face
And when I die I'll pass on
my only saving grace
To kill myself so slowly, a
blissful hobby of mine
Though no different from all the rest,
I do it just the same
If I could have the choice, I'd never
make it in the end
But don't forget I can't believe myself
and/or tell my foes from friends
It always hurts me when I see
the monster's grin
Because it brings back bad memories
from my darkest dreams
Drinking cups and cups filled with
such cold disdain
Bringing poison to my lips never failed
to numb the pain
If I could believe in God once more
then I'd be saved
But I can't hear his angels sing
over the cacophony of muttered prayers
Jesus never spoke to me, but I'd
talk back from a rubber room
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, as long as
I was safe from doom
In the end I don't know a thing,
forgotten are my lessons learned
Living in my own paradox, I tried
to drown myself in the pool of life
Maybe it makes no nevermind to you,
but to me it might
I'll never know because it's
all gone when you fade from sight

This is somewhat too basic and didn't flow well in parts.
And I really disliked the "and/or".
